See copy of an email MYOB has sent to thousands of Classic MYOB v19 users:
According to MYOB this is a targetted campaign aimed as current Subscribers who are still using v19.
The heading reads 'You need the latest version of AccountRight to keep working' - emphasis added. The emails goes on to state -
'You will be unable to confirm your company file in this version of AccountRight after Monday 30 October 2017'.
As you may know, every MYOB company file has a built in expiry date. This date is extended each time you 'Confirm' the company file - see Confirmation for more information about this process. If you are unable to 'confirm' your file, it will become read-only.

Email saying I must upgrade
MYOB's (not so) Hidden Agenda
For non-subscribers using v19 and earlier, MYOB have disabled online Confirmation. Users are greeted with this message - 'Unable to confirm this company file. You need to phone MYOB Customer Service for assistance'
When a user calls, MYOB were initially telling callers that this will be their last Confirmation with v19, future confirmations will be denied and they must upgrade. After a backlash on the MYOB Community forum and calls for a class action against MYOB, they have since softened their stand - atleast for the time being.
Confirmation codes are still being provided, however users must call each time Confirmation is due. Who knows if codes will be provided next time.
We do not recommend you upgrade to AR2024 for some of the reasons outlined in the above links. AR2024
is very slow and has hundreds of bugs and cannot efficiently handle files over about 300MB. We have personally seen AR2024 fail to
function at all with larger files. Reports cannot be generated and the Transaction Journal cannot display transactions unless a very
narrow date range is specified. User are constantly 'thrown' out. This is desktop use - not online - which is even slower.
For those concerned about losing access to their v19 (or earlier) file, please see Confirmation Tool as an alternative to file confirmation by MYOB.
