Providing tax tables since 2010.

We are an Adelaide based company specialising in solving issues for MYOB® users. We started with PAYG tax tables and expanded to repairs, conversion, confirmation issues etc.

Our tax tables have not been endorsed and are not supported by MYOB Australia - MYOB would much rather you upgraded or subscribed to Cover or AccountRight Live.

FGH Tax Tables for MYOB® - Other Regions

For MYOB® v19.0 to v19.11

At the request of users from regions outside Australia, we have developed tax tables for the following locations:
  • Papua New Guinea (Revision Date 1 Jan 2023)
  • Solomon Islands (Revision Date 1 Jan 2020)
  • Myanmar (Revision Date 1 April 2012)

These tax tables will only work with Australian versions of MYOB® (Plus, Premier or Enterprise) v19.0 to v19.9 and v19.10 or v19.11.

Note:
In Aust the PAYG system works on an estimate of the employee's annual tax liability. The employer is required to deduct this estimated amount and pay it to the Tax Office on the employee's behalf. When the employee lodges his/her income tax return the final tax liability is determined and the employee either receives a refund (if too much was deducted) or must pay extra tax (if not enough was deducted).

MYOB® was developed in this context and therefore even though we use the formula provided by the Revenue Authority, minor differences will result due to rounding. MYOB® firstly rounds the gross income down to nearest dollar (or K in PNG). The PAYG tax calculated is also rounded down to the nearest dollar/K. If paying fortnightly the rounding is doubled.

Printed Tables distributed to employers by the Revenue Authority in regions such as PNG always include cents/toea - MYOB® does not.

We have prepared a small table below to show you some examples of the rounding differences using the PNG tax rates as at 1 Jan 2019 as an example (the 1 Jan 2023 tax tables have a similar rounding issue). This is based on a fortnightly gross amount for a employee who has provided a Declaration and has 0 Dependants.

The first column shows the Gross, the 2nd the PAYG calculated by MYOB® and the 3rd is the PAYG calculated using the IRC table.
