Update 2024.6 Lock Period Issue

Updated 6 Aug 2024

Since AR2024.6 was released on 15 July 2024, hundreds of users are reporting problems printing or emailing invoices.

We had someone look into this for us and they quickly identified the cause. AR2024.6 regards the invoice as changed, even though no changes were made. This prompts this message:

Any Changes error.

In the background, before taking certain actions, AR2024.6 checks if any changes have been made since the invoice was last saved. Due to a coding error, 2 Fields are identified as 'dirty', triggering the save request. Interestingly these are non-user set fields.

If printing from the invoice itself, there are 2 common errors:

Lock Period
'You can't edit sales dated in the lock period'

Lock Period
'... is on credit hold. Sales to this customer are not allowed'

Workarounds include using the Web Browser access if your file is online, or using the Print/Email feature on the Sales Command Centre:

Print or Email

You may need to adjust Advanced Filters to display the invoice in the list: Advanced Filters

Alternatively MYOX Services can connect to your system remotely (cost $60) and fix the issue until MYOB release the next update - expected 15 Aug 2024
