Do you:

• want to delete old payroll categories from your MYOB® company file but MYOB® won't let you?
• have payroll categories you no longer use that are cluttering up your system
• want to de-link a payroll category from an employee but cannot due to timesheets?

We have recently developed a way to safely remove old or unused payroll categories from a AR2024 company file.

Our approach involves creating one new Payroll Category (called Substitute or Deleted Payroll Category), replacing all references to those payroll categories you want to delete with the new Substitute Payroll Category, and then deleting all the unwanted ones.

If you have a large number of Payroll Categories you want to remove, simply make a backup and upload your file and send us a spreadsheet with a list of Payroll Categories you want deleted. We will remove the Payroll Categories and return the file for you to restore (locally or online).

Note that payroll categories used in the current payroll year (or in the year before) cannot be deleted. This ensures STP Reporting (or amending) is not affected.

Cost for this service is $220 and we would need the file for approx 3 hrs.
