Show Package Contents in AccountEdge®


How to find Show Package Contents in AccountEdge®
Some Mac users experience difficulty finding the location where AccountEdge® tax tables need to be copied. They need to be copied to the Tax Tables folder inside the AccountEdge® Application file as per the instructions you received with your purchase.

To locate this folder, you need to select the Application, and then click the gear type icon - as you will see highlighted in the images below.

It is important to understand this only works with a file of 'Kind' Application, it does not work on folders, dmg, zip or myo files.

Some users run AccountEdge® by clicking on these file types. While you can run AccountEdge® by clicking on the dmg package, you will need to extract the AccountEdge® Application in order to install our tax tables. For example on AccountEdge Pro 14 you can do this by clicking on the dmg package and then moving the Application to the Applications folder.

Below are some images, the first showing Show Package Contents on the AccountEdge® Application. The other images show that this does not work in other Kinds of files. You will generally find the Application in the AccountEdge Folder under Applications - as you can see in the first image.

In this first image, notice I have selected the AccountEdge Pro Application, found in the MYOB AccountEdge Pro v12 folder under Applications. When I click on the gear-type icon, I can will see the 'Show Package Contents' option.

In this next image, notice that I have selected the MYOB AccountEdge Pro v12 folder under Applications. When I click on the gear-type icon, I will NOT see 'Show Package Contents' as I have selected a folder.

In this next image, notice that I have selected the AccountEdge Pro v14.dmg package on the Desktop. When I click on the gear-type icon, I will NOT see 'Show Package Contents' as I have selected a dmg package.

In this next image, notice that I have selected the MYOB AccountEdge v9.zip archive on the Desktop. When I click on the gear-type icon, I will NOT see 'Show Package Contents' as I have selected a zip archive.

In this next image, notice that I have selected a myo file called app_8836v13.myo on the Desktop. When I click on the gear-type icon, I will NOT see 'Show Package Contents' as I have selected a myo file.
